SUSPENDED – CHURCH GATHERINGS

As announced by the first presidency:

“Beginning immediately, all public gatherings of Church members are being temporarily suspended worldwide until further notice.” This includes:

  • Stake conferences, leadership conferences, and other large gatherings
  • All public worship services, including sacrament meetings
  • Branch, ward and stake activities

As we get further instructions from our Stake President we will post them here. In the meantime, let’s be the best ministers we can be, look after one another, and take care of each other! -Stay tuned!

Wear your favorite Disney, Pixar, Marvel, or Star Wars attire. Disneybounding welcome. No weapons.
Dress must comply with For the Strength of Youth guidelines. Shorts, skirts, & dresses must be at least to the knee. Shirts should cover midriff and shoulders. Clothing may not be low­cut in front or back.

Game room with refreshments when you want to take a break from dancing.

Please see a member of the bishopric if you need a dance card.

2nd Ward Changes

The 2nd Ward will now meet at the Stake Center.

Sacrament Meeting will remain at 1:30pm

Youth Activities will remain on Tuesday at 7pm, but at the Stake Center.

Please meet at the Stake Center for all activities and meetings that would have normally been held at the Oaks building.

Temple and Family History Leadership Broadcast

Pres. Wensel asked each of you to attend the Temple and Family History Leadership broadcast on Thursday, February 27th at 7:00pm. While it will be streamed over the internet, the Stake Center will be set up to receive the one-hour broadcast. Please plan to join us.

The theme will be “Ministering to All through Family History Work” and much of the content will address how missionary, ministering, and family history efforts can be tied together.

Below is a list of who should participate:

  • Stake Presidencies, Stake Councils, Stake High Counselors with responsibilities for temple & family history work
  • Bishoprics, Ward Councils, Relief Society and Elders Quorum Counselors responsible for missionary efforts, and family history efforts, Ward Mission Leaders
  • Youth Quorum and Class Presidencies
  • Ward Temple and Family History leaders and consultants

Deacon’s Quorum Activity

This week’s Deacon’s Quorum Activity will be Thursday January 30th (we will NOT be meeting on Tuesday).  We will be going to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple to do baptisms.  Please bring family names if you have any available.  We will be meeting at the Church at 4:20 pm.  Please remember your recommend.

Parents, this Tuesday we will start setting up Family Search accounts for the Deacon’s (on https://www.familysearch.org/en/ ) and show them how to search for names to take to the temple.

If you would like your son to participate in this please send them with the following:

  • Parent’s email account to which a permission request will be sent

  • A Username your son would like to use for the website

  • Password your son can use for the website (must be at least 8 characters long and include letters and numbers; recommend a 20 character password be used)

  • Email address your son will use for the website (can be a Parent’s e-mail address or your son’s email address)

Self Reliance Devotional

The Stake will be hosting a Self-Reliance Devotional on Sunday, January 19th at 6:00pm in the Stake Center Cultural Hall.
