9/11 DAY OF SERVICE

We are collecting donations for

THE ROAD HOME MIDVALE FAMILY SHELTER


Your neighborhood has been asked to donate:

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

(Examples include: Backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, rulers, highlighters, etc.)*Gently used clothing and non-perishable food is also needed.

*Please have the items you are donating on your porch for pick-up by 9 A.M. Please leave a note or otherwise designate the items that are to be picked-up.
Please join us on Saturday, Sep. 10, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints stake center (8107 S 6700 W). There will be a special flag ceremony by the Unified Police Department Honor Guard. Then stay to help sort out collected items and enjoy a refreshment!

It is not required that you order these items from Amazon, they are simply suggestions. Please feel free to purchase items anywhere you’d like.
If you are unable to donate the suggested items, please feel free to donate anything from the following categories: baby items, hygiene items, school supplies, and new socks or underwear (all sizes). Gently used clothing and non-perishable good is also accepted.

Summer of Family History

In August we will be focusing on Temple work

Our goal as a ward is to complete 300 ordinances

Each ordinance counts as a point.  Finding a name or releasing a name to the temple also counts as a point.

Stake Conf: Aug 2022

Stake Conference: Aug 6th-7th

Aug 6th

  • 4pm – Leadership Session: Ward and Stake Councils along with their counselors and secretaries.
  • 7pm – Adult Session: This session is for all adult members in the Stake.

Aug 7th

  • 10am – General Session: This session is for all members and friends of other faiths.

8/2: Camp Wrap up Party

We will be watching a video made from pictures taken at camp as well as handing out awards and eating yummy Dutch oven cobbler. Parents are invited! We will be in the Primary room. Tuesday at 7 pm

Stake Youth Post-Trek Fireside

A stake youth post-Trek fireside will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 6:00 pm in the stake center cultural hall.

We will have a chance to hear from many of our stake Trek participants, particularly our youth and their Trek Mas and Pas. All the youth of our stake (whether they participated in Trek or not), their parents, and their ward youth leaders are invited to attend.

All adult leaders involved in Trek in any capacity are also asked to attend.

Sunday dress is requested. Refreshments will be provided.

Seminary Graduation

Rehearsal for Graduates

Seminary graduates will provide a special musical number as part of the graduation.  To prepare for this number, graduates should join a rehearsal on Sunday, May 29th from 4-5pm at the Stake Center.

The Stake will hold Seminary Graduation on Sunday, June 5th at 6:00pm.

Elder Parker’s Mission Call

We would like to congratulate Elder Parker on his Mission call to Raleigh North Carolina!

We are super excited for him, and know he will do great!

Young Adult Devotional

President and Sister Nelson will be speaking to young adults (ages 18-30) in a devotional this Sunday, May 15th at 6:00pm. 

Young adults (both married and single as well as High School Seniors) ages 18-30 may attend this devotional in person at the conference center on a first-come, first-seated basis. 

The church will provide refreshments on the roof of the conference center as part of this event.

Mini-MTC

Mini-MTC activity for youth who are in 9th-12th grade.

Saturday, May 21 from 9a-12 noon in the Ballpark building.

There will be breakfast and lunch with missionary experiences in between. Elder Jon Boswell, an Area Authority Seventy, who currently works in the church missionary department, will also be speaking.

Youth Fireside- April

The stake is hosting a youth fireside on Sunday, April 24th at 7pm in the Stake Center chapel. 

This fireside is for all youth, their parents, and their leaders. 

Participants should plan on Sunday Dress and REFRESHMENTS.
