Stake Youth Service Activity & Hot Dog Roast
EVENT DATE: Sept 17th
We will be having a Stake Youth Service Activity and Hot Dog Roast on Tuesday, Sept 17th
We will meet at the church at 6:00 pm and carpool to the Big Bend Restoration Area (8600 S. 1300 W.) so we arrive by 6:30 pm. Please be prepared by bringing/wearing the items listed.
After the service project, we will be going to the Stake Center for a hot dog roast!

President Nelson turns 100

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints welcomes all to view a special birthday broadcast in honor of Church President Russell M. Nelson on Monday, September 9, 2024 — his 100th birthday — at 4 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time.
Service Project
EVENT DATE: Sept 7 – Assemble Food Kits
2nd Ward has been asked to donate “Cup of Noodles” to be put towards food kits!
A second food pick-up will occur the morning of September 7th. Please leave Noodles out on your door step the morning of September 7th.
All are invited and encouraged to help assemble the food kits with the Stake at the Stake Center (8834 S. Duck Ridge Way) at 10:00 am September 7th.
Thank you so much to everyone who has helped and donated so far. Our main focus now is to invite everyone to bring their families and neighbors to come and participate in our short program and then help us assemble all the kits. We are going to need many hands.

We ask that everyone, in both locations, be seated by 9:45 AM to listen to the uplifting prelude music provided by our Stake Choir.

Temple Service Opportunites
With the emphasis on Temple Service, there is an abundance of members who desire to serve in the temple.
Oquirrh Mountain Temple is moving from 3 shifts daily to 4 shifts per day.
New Schedule:
In upcoming weeks, the Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple will transition to the following shifts:

9:15 AM – 2:00 PM

There is a full kitchen area, dining area. bathrooms in cabins and common areas with flushing toilets.
There are recreation areas for volleyball, sand volleyball, basketball, pickleball, Gaga ball, ping pong tables, foosball table. Everything is provided to play.
No Wi-Fi at the camp; Cell coverage varies by carrier
